• Webinar, “IL ABLE and What’s new for providers.” Editor’s Take: On April 21st, IL ABLE will host a webinar on what service providers and guardians of individuals need to know. The webinar will also cover stimulus payments, SSI benefits and IL ABLE Accounts as covered in the article here.
• News4, “New savings program for Alabama residents with disabilities launching Soon.” Editor’s Take: News4 and WSFA12 News both covered the announcement that Alabama will soon launch the Alabama ABLE Savings Plan to replace the Enable Savings Plan Alabama. • ABLE Age Adjustment Act: The bill would increase the age of onset for eligibility to open an ABLE account from 26 years old to 46 years old. As of April 17, 2021, the bill sponsorship was as follows:
  • Senate (S331): 1 sponsor and 6 cosponsors
  • Congress Sponsorship (HR1219): 1 sponsor and 39 cosponsors
