- Federal Reserve Bank of New York, “The state of low-income America: Credit Access & Debt Payment, March 2022.” Editor’s Take: The 12-page white paper reports interesting demographic data on student loan borrowers and the $1.58 trillion in student loans as of 4Q 2021. While student loan debt is prevalent across household income levels per the March 2022 report, other forms of debt and credit are not.
