  • Kiplinger, “5 key financial aid considerations when saving for college.” Editor's Take: There are several key charts in this article, including expected family contribuion (EFC) by assets and income, and how financial need met by colleges rarely meets 100% of the need. Therefore, it is important for families to save and save efficiently as it is rare that financial aid will meet 100% of the need of your clients. Furthermore even when the need is met, it will typically be student loans as opposed to grants that do not need to be paid back with loan initiation fees plus interest.
  • 33% of millennials have student loan debt. Editor's Take: The issue of college financial planning, or the lack there of it, continues to rise.
