  • Senate Majority Leader, “S.178.” Editor’s Take: U.S. Senate has introduced legislation that would if passed as is expand 529 qualified distributions to fund “home school and additional elementary and secondary expenses.” We will continue to track and report on this bill as potential legislation develops. In the interim, the potential development is broadly positive and an example of momentum towards continued strengthening and broadening of 529 plans to help families to save and pay for educational expenses.
